Description

The archipelago of Espíritu Santo is a UNESCO Heritage Site and a highlight of the Sea of Cortez. Just an hour away from La Paz by boat, these volcanic islands host one of the most diverse underwater ecosystems. A place Jacques Cousteau named “the aquarium of the world.” The often super-clear water provides perfect conditions for snorkeling among the coral reefs with colorful tropical and subtropical fish and the invertebrates that make the Sea of Cortez is famous. From September to May, you can find yourself swimming with a curious and playful colony of sea lions. The beauty of these islands extends beyond the turquoise waters to white sand beaches where we will serve you freshly made ceviche or a delicious sandwich. As a bonus, we often encounter many marine animals such as dolphins, turtles, whales, orcas, rays, etc., on the journey. We also stop at the pristine, postcard-worthy beach of Balandra. This is the tour for those who want to see the best of what this world-renowned destination has to offer.
